Scan Chef ("we", "our", or "the app") is a food scanning iOS application. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Camera & Photos: When you scan food or a receipt, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API to identify food items and estimate nutritional information. Images are not stor[...]
• Meal & Pantry Data: Food logs, calorie records, and pantry items are stored locally on your device only. We do not upload or sync this data anywhere.
• No account or personal data: Scan Chef does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, location, or any personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Services

Data Storage

All meal logs and pantry data are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Children's Privacy

Scan Chef is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
